Learning Riding a Bike Is Easy For Your Kids

When your kids tell you that they hope to ride a bicycle like other kids, you may consider finding a great method to teach them. Maybe you have found that there are many extremist ideas about helping your kids learn to make it. The training wheels method is on the top of the attacking list and those people attack it as a useless and wrong method. However, thousands of kids still use this method and learn riding a bicycle successfully. I will introduce three methods to you in thin article and you can choose the appropriate method according to your kids’ interest, confidence and ability.

Firstly, I’m going to talk about training wheels method that lots of people view as a worthless method. Believe all parents know what is training wheels and the wheels are equipped on rear wheel of the kid’s bikes to help kids to keep bicycle balance.

With this equipment, kids have no need to worry about the balance and they can focus on learning to pedal and steer first. Once he has mastered pedaling and steering, you can gradually raise the training wheels higher off the ground so that the bike is a little more unstable.

After kids improve and master the pedaling and steering skills, the training wheels can be removed. For the safety of kids, you’d better let your kids learn it on a grass area. If they fall, they won’t get hurt. And of course, your child should always wear a bike helmet, whether he is on a tricycle or a two-wheeler.

OK, let’s talk about the second method, which is a little different from the previous method.

You just need to give your kids enough short bikes so that their feet can reach the ground. The first method is to put the pedaling and steering before balance. However, this method has the opposite way and kids need to learn to keep balance then pedal or steer. In this method, when kids feel unstable and they can keep balance depending on their feet by having feet on the ground. It’s even better if you remove the pedals, to keep the focus exclusively on balance at first. Start your lessons on a slight downhill, so your child gets the feeling of moving forward while balancing.

When your kids completely master controlling balance, you can consider adding the pedals and let them try to put their feet on pedals. Finally, they can get used to pedals and know how to ride a bike basically. Next step is to let them ride on a flat surface. After a few practice sessions on flat ground, they may be ready for their seat to be raised to a more comfortable pedaling height, or to move up to a larger bike.

This is an old method and the author learned it by this method; maybe you also use this method when you were a kid. If the second method doesn’t work or your kids don’t like the small bicycle or no small bike is available, you can try the last method. Let your kid on his bike, remove the training wheels and hold him by the shoulders. Avoid using the handlebars or seat, which may influence the kid’s balance. This method can help your kids to learn pedaling and steering without worry about balance. Then, you can let go and leave your kids to control balance. There is one thing you need to keep in your mind that don’t let go without telling your kids. If you do and he falls, he won’t trust you.

Personal Finance Budgeting – Importance Of A Personal Budget

Unless people make a personal budget for themselves they will never be successful in their journey towards financial freedom. A budget is like the training wheels on a bike and works as a finance tool that helps keep people on the right path. For most it is necessary to keep a personal budget for their entire life but for others a budget is not needed after they get a feel for how their money is being spent and where it is going. Setting up a budget is the simplest and most basic building block in a persons quest for financial freedom. I can almost guarantee that you will not be successful on your journey toward financial peace without setting up your own budget.

Usually when people hear the dreaded B word (budget) they often run for the hills and they often try to avoid a financial adviser that suggests that they make a budget. People are often very scared of the work involved in making a personal budget but I am here to tell you that it is not really that bad. Resistance in establishing a budget often happens because people see a budget as some type of trap that restricts their freedom and forces them to change the way they live. The truth about budgeting is often quite the opposite. Usually those that do not set up a budget are the ones that have a ton of credit card debt and are restricted by the large debt payments they are required to make each month.

When you setup a personal budget you are simply setting up a plan to spend your money with intent as opposed to spending it aimlessly. The idea is to plan everything out so that you do not end up spending more money than you make. A personal budget usually seems restrictive at first but once you follow it for a few months it will help you to move away from your reliance on credit cards and it will actually give you more freedom.

Once you establish your budget you should expect it to take 3-5 months to get things right. In the beginning it is likely that you will make mistakes in your budget and forget about expenses. After 3-5 months you should be able to work through this and your budget should be almost a mirror image of your actual spending.

After establishing an accurate budget the next step is to stick to the plan. Most people tend to fail here. Anybody can write out a budget plan but the hard part is actually sticking to this budget each and every month. If you can stick to your budget I promise that you will be more financially free.

I hope that you now understand the importance of establishing a personal budget for yourself. Without it you cannot begin to pay off your debts and save money because you have no way to track and properly allocate your income.

My suggestion is that you do yourself a favor and grab a note pad and a pen and start working on your own personal budget. It is simple and completely freedom.
