Tattoo Lettering

Tattoo lettering is a very important part of any tattoo design. Luckily there are literally thousands of font styles to choose from. Whether you are getting words alone or a design along with wording, choosing the right style of lettering is very important. Here are some lettering tips and ideas to get you started.
Look at several different fonts before deciding which one you want for your tattoo. If you don’t, you may see something you like better after you’ve already gotten it done, then it will be too late. If you are getting a design plus words, arrange the design and wording in different ways and experiment with several lettering styles to see which one you like the best. Try adding some pizzaz to your lettering by making the first letter of each word a different color or each letter of the word a different color. Substitute a letter for a symbol. For example make the “o” in the word “love” a heart. If you’re just going with words, try adding a floral design or vines into the wording to make it more unique. To add some mystery to your design, spell the words backwards or make them a mirror image.

Many online tattoo galleries along with their designs, have a listing of fonts to choose from. You can also do an online search for “tattoo lettering fonts” to find several websites that have them available for free to download. There is such a wide variety of tattoo lettering available today that no matter what kind of style you have in mind, you are sure to find what you’re looking for.

It Takes Two – World Financial Group Reviews What?s Important, and Finds Love at Center of Success

Once any of us reach a certain level of success, one of the regular questions we hear is, “Whatone thing has been most important to your success in the business?” There are, of course, anumber of critical areas of focus in order to be successful, but if I had to pick one thing it wouldbe spouse support, or as my sweet wife, Cindy, calls it, “couple power.”

Every marriage is a partnership. It is a partnership in love, friendship, child rearing and in careers, too. As in business, some partnerships are happy and strong, and some not so effective. One of our most important tasks in leadership is to do all we can to support and strengthen our couples in the business. If the leadership at World Financial Group reviews what makes a truly great team member, they are bound to found a loving spouse and family supporting him or her in business and home life. I have learned for better or for worse that teamwork in the home, or the lack of it, makes or breaks more careers then any other single factor. Since our personal and business progress can at times be frustratingly slow, we generally need all the help and encouragement we can get.

When I think back from the very beginning to the present day, I know the biggest factor in my personal happiness and business success has been and is the consistent loving support of my wife. As with any good marriage, her opinion is more important to me than any other person’s on the planet. How she feels has more effect on me than anything else. This is the way it works for most of us. With that being true, a couple united in purpose and goals is not just twice as strong in the business, but four or five times more powerful. Without that support, no matter how capable the person, the odds for success are greatly diminished.

I remember a sharp, up-and-coming leader in my base shop, who I’ll call Dan. Dan was bright and charming with an excellent sense of humor. He came to our team with a sales and leadership background, was married and had four young children. He seemed a perfect recruit. And yet, I couldn’t help but notice that periodically or regularly he would get down or depressed, even though he seemed to have it all together.

One day I asked him how his wife, April, felt about his involvement in the business. He indicated that she didn’t feel that good about it. Immediately I set a time for them to come in and meet with me. When they came in soon thereafter, I took one look at her expression and body language and knew I had my work cut out for me. As they sat down on the couch in my office, she wouldn’t even look directly at me. I thanked her for coming in, then asked her point blank, how she felt about Dan’s involvement in the company. Again without even looking at me, she  said tersely, “You don’t want to know.”

“April, even though you may find this hard to believe, how you feel means more to me than anything, whether it be positive or negative. Just tell me how you really feel,” I said.

“Never underestimate the extraordinary power of a couple united in purpose and determination.”

She started in and didn’t come up for air for at least 20 minutes. I began to realize that Dan was using the business as an excuse to stay away from home. He was failing as a husband and a father in her eyes and she was carrying the weight of four young children pretty much by herself. A couple of times during her comments, I turned to Dan and asked him, “Is this true?” I could tell by the look on his face that it was. After hearing her out, I thanked her for being honest with me. It was very understandable why she felt the way she did. I let her know that I didn’t think Dan’s conduct was acceptable either and let them both know that if he didn’t step up to his responsibilities at home and be a better teammate in his marriage that I didn’t think he needed to continue on in this business. I meant every word of it. April was very surprised that day, because she assumed I was part of the problem and maybe even had encouraged Dan in his behavior. A half hour after they arrived at my office, she understood that she had an ally.

I then introduced her to my wife, and we began a conversation about how to make their family and business work together to bring prosperity to both. It was a great conversation, and a quality friendship was born that afternoon. In the months ahead, April became one of our most supportive partners. Dan stepping up to his duties at home preceded that, of course. The influence of our leadership truly helped their marriage and, therefore, their family. This is the great privilege of our business. What if I had ignored or avoided April’s frustrations or her negativity? Would they have gone away by me pretending that they weren’t there? Eventually, their marriage would have likely continued to struggle and as she became more frustrated, his career would have soon come to an end and the marriage would have suffered, perhaps dramatically.

Never underestimate the extraordinary power of a couple united in purpose and determination. When a member of World Financial Group reviews his or her team, he or she doesn’t just see individuals, but rather recognizes the family that is behind them.

Encourage couple participation in everything that we do – our meetings, our events, our trips, everything. Meet periodically with the couples on your team. Find out how they really feel and work with them to take them to the next level of play at home and in the business.

Without Cindy’s support, not only would I have not prospered, but also I probably would have never really gotten started. Our very reason for existence as a company is to help families. That vision will always include your teammates. David O. McKay says, “No other success can compensate for failure in the home.” All things can prosper with a solid foundation at home.

That’s a key to success we should never forget.

The Love Story of Victoria’s Secret

Do you know the world-famous brand “Victoria’s secret”? And have you ever heard some romantic love stories about “Victoria’s secret”? Here I am willing to tell you one of the love stories, sincerely hope you would like it.

Encounter Love

It was 1978 when the love story began. Greece, an attractive girl from England, found that a boy was always observing her and writing something on a piece of paper when she was on holiday in a Los Angelus beach.

Curiously and a little bit angrily, she went to the boy, who was just on his way to start his new small bra store, and was attracted by her beautiful swimsuit. What Roy was doing was painting, and he told Greece about his name and job, while Greece lied to him. She said that her name was Victoria. When Roy asked where her swimsuit was bought, she said, “It’s a secret.”  Roy immediately decided to let his store name after this girl——Victoria’s secret.

Form that moment on, they spend their holiday together.

Bitter Time

In fact, Greece had had a fiancé already, which was arranged by her parents. She knew she loved Roy, but no matter what she said, she still couldn’t persuade her parents on this issue. Greece had no choices; she had to return to England and told Roy about all her realistic things. Roy wrote lots of letters to Greece. But all the letters were stopped by Greece’s father. Roy made Victoria’s secret a good company in a few years. Not receiving Greece’s letters and couldn’t find her, Roy was in big pain so that he couldn’t manage his company well and always looked for comforts by drinking, causing the company to go broke and run by other man.

The Legend

Greece couldn’t help to missing Roy. Finally in the year 1983, she divorced with her husband and went to the U.S to find Roy, but failed. She joined the team and worked in Victoria’s company as a saleswoman. Three years later she was appointed as manager and the chairman of the board, and in 1991, Victoria’s secret became one of the top ten companies around the world.

Once after a TV show, she received a bag in which there was a swimsuit with the name Victoria’s secret. She found the address and shocked. It was Roy’s mother who sent that to her. But Roy broke both his legs after a terrible car accident occurred, and later passed away. The swimsuit spent Roy several days before he died.

Greece was so sad for Roy’s death. After that, Greece totally devoted herself to Victoria’s secret (http://christmas.dinodirect.com/brand-new-sex.html), and made it a great success.

Mano Po Iii My Love

Mano Po is a series of movies — with totally unconnected stories — about Chinese-Filipinos. Why they’re generically called “Mano Po” — which is Tagalog for the custom of children showing respect to their elders — I can’t say.

This one begins with a flashback to 1959, with a desperate mother who’s just had yet another baby girl, giving her to a couple fleeing the country, in hopes she’ll have a better chance at life that way than if given to a government orphanage, no doubt truthfully, conditions are terrible.

The couple take off in a horse-drawn wagon that reminded me of a pioneer stage coach (did many people in the People’s Republic of 1959 have horse-drawn wagons? I realize they didn’t have cars. I thought all horses would be property of a commune, and everybody either walked or rode a bicycle.)

Anyway, they wind up in The Philippines (How easy was it for Chinese people to escape the mainland? I don’t know.) Lilia grows up as a Filipino, falls in love with Michael, and the two of them and their buddy Paul join the resistance against Marcos.

Most of the film, however, is the slow plodding agonizing of Lilia after encountering Michael again, learning he’s alive and living in America and still in love with her.

Trouble is, she married Paul, and they have children (only they know the oldest, their only son, is really Michael’s), a prospering business and an upcoming twenty-fifth wedding anniversary celebration planned.

She’s a crusader against corruption in the Philippines National Police, who’s succeeded in putting some corrupt police in jail.

Michael comes to The Philippines after her. For me, his confession that his wife committed suicide because she realized he was still in love with Lilia was a real turn off. But Lilia doesn’t let it faze her.

She has to cope with the hostility of her inlaws, never well hidden because they didn’t approve of her marriage in the first place.

Vilma Santos turns in a professional performance. She’s still terrific looking, and she and Christopher de Leon still make a good pair — how many times have they been an on-screen couple? However, I tend to hope she’ll focus more on being the governor of the province of Batangas, where my family lives, than on her acting career.

Not that it’s surprising she would go from movies to politics. Many Filipinos do. Ronald Reagan is not an oddity there. And Kris Aquino went from politics to movies and show business. Maybe she’ll wind up back in politics – who knows? Her big brother has only five and a half more years remaining as president.

In the end, Lilia goes back to fighting corruption — though it’s too late for poor Paul — and says, “It (The Philippines) is the only country I have.” I wonder if that’s a politically correct statement to demonstration that Chinese Filipinos are just as loyal as Malay Filipinos. I don’t know.

But for my taste this is far too much about love and broken hearts and complicated relationships. It’s a Filipino chick flick.
