If you’ve ever been stranded on a country road, late at night with failed motorcycle headlights you’ll know what a nightmare it is. What’s your best option? Trying to find your way to the nearest garage without lighting? Checking into the nearest 5 star hotel and waiting until morning? Neither are very practical solutions, so this is where learning to change your own motorcycle headlight bulbs comes in!
Different makes and models have various bulb-changing methods and will in fact, use different bulbs, so use this as a basic guide only and read more about your particular bike, either online or in your user manual, for the complete low down
1) First thing’s first: consult your user manual, see what type of bulb your bike’s headlight uses and make sure you have at least one spare before you set out on a journey – even in daylight. Some headlights take more than one bulb so being fully prepared is essential. If you need help identifying the bulb type, take it to your local garage or dealer. It’s also well worth learning to ID your bulbs by touch. You don’t want to find yourself in the dark, fumbling around for an hour only to find you’ve replaced your blown headlight bulb with your motorcycle tail light.
2) Next, read up on the actual changing procedure and try and commit it to memory. (Or at the very least take a torch and the manual with you when you ride). Have a practice run: waiting until your bulb blows at midnight in the middle of nowhere is NOT the ideal time to try and figure out how to change it!
3) OK, so the inevitable has happened, but don’t panic – you’re prepared. You read steps 1 and 2!
So, let’s get down to action. Try and ensure your bike is parked on an even surface, grab your screwdriver and remove the screws on your headlight’s lens unit (taking care not to lose them in the dark – you’ll need them later!) Open the headlight casing and disconnect first the coupler, then the bulb cover.
Unhook the bulb holder, unscrew the burnt out bulb and replace with your brand new one. Hook the bulb holder back up, reconnect the bulb cover and the coupler then screw the casing back in place.
Crisis avoided.
If that’s not as tricky as you expected and you’re now filled with confidence and feeling really motivated, why not use the same tips to go a step further and upgrade your existing bulbs to LED or HID motorcycle headlights? You’ll need to read up further as you’ll likely need a bulb adapter and the process may not be quite as simple, but this is a great way of customizing your bike.
So, be prepared. Check online as there are loads of stores selling biking parts and accessories, find the correct bulbs (don’t forget to stock up on spare tail lights and indicator lights too) and you’re good to go. Just don’t forget your screwdriver.

Listen to the Entire Piece – Classical music tells a story. The entire song is a journey that you have to follow. Todays music is all about a hook, something that sticks in your head and is easy to hum along to after one listen. When you listen to a classical performance, try to reserve your judgement and dont focus on each note, listen to the song as a whole and see where the composer has taken you. Find an online classical music store where you can download your favorite songs to listen to again and again, until you know the whole song..
Picture the Composer Writing – The composer of the piece you are hearing likely had a passion for what they were doing and put themselves into their work. They likely wrote the music in a torrent, dashing notes onto a piece of paper as inspiration struck them. They could hear the music in their head and had to get it onto paper before it faded. Hopefully they were able to capture its essence and the orchestra is doing their part to bring it to life.
Listen for Each Instrument Type – In many songs, each type of instrument will get their chance to shine. Theyll have a solo, or a part where they are the main instrument that you can hear. Listen closely as each performer plays together in harmony. Think about all of the hours of practice that these performers put in so that it sounds as good as it does. No other form of music requires this level of dedication. A good classical music store will have pieces that feature many different types of instruments for you to enjoy.
Consider the Conductor – The conductor is the ships captain, responsible for bringing it all together and making it sound as the composer intended. If you are watching a live performance watch how they effortlessly direct an entire orchestra to work as one well-oiled machine.

Urban sprawl never used to be an issue. Even though the latest development might be miles from where you work or the nearest shops, this was never a problem. Most families owned two vehicles. Some three or more. No-one walked. Everyone just jumped in the nearest vehicle and off they went without a second thought until the price of gas rocketed up. Now we have the credit crunch and a recession just bottoming out. Car ownership has become an expensive proposition. Too expensive for some who have been reborn as a one-car family to cut their losses. The first step in crisis management is to find out which of your vehicles is the cheapest make and model to insure. Now balance that against the likely costs of maintenance and repair over the next twelve months. And which will sell for the highest price? When you know which vehicle you are keeping, maximize the number of discounts on the policy, including bundling auto and home together with the same insurer. Except, one vehicle for a busy family may not be practical. What are the options?
Many families talk to their neighbors and work out a carpool. This is reasonably easy to organize for routine journeys. But there is one slight problem. If you are going to carry passengers, you should have insurance to pay their medical costs should they be injured in an accident. It is not safe to drive your neighbors around on the state’s minimum liability cover. Then we come to the always difficult question of sharing the costs of the gas. If the passengers always pay something towards the cost of the journey, many insurers treat this as a business arrangement and require the vehicle owner to take out a commercial policy as a taxi. Needless to say, this turns a friendly social service into an expensive excuse to argue with your neighbors over prices. Of course, you could all agree to lie about the arrangement. But the stories can change rapidly if everyone ends up in a hospital and big bills are presented.
The second option is the new rental plans which site vehicles for rent by the hour in local garages. You book what you want over the internet, travel to the garage for the pick-up and drop it off at the same garage when your time is up. The cost per hour on the standard plans are attractive and, assuming you do not want a vehicle more than an average of one hour every day, you will save money on car ownership. But you do need to look carefully at the insurance offered in the standard plans. Some have poor cover of medical expenses for you as the driver and passengers. Others do not include the loss of use charge if the vehicle is off the road being repaired. Always read the small print. Summing up, finding insurance for a single vehicle means getting multiple auto insurance quotes and finding the one that works for you. If you are going to use your car to drive neighbors around, you also need to get auto insurance quotes to cover the additional liabilities. If you use one of the new rental plans, consider paying extra for LDW which gives more comprehensive protection against loss.

The two main types of lace used in the manufacture of lace wigs are French lace and Swiss.
French lace:
French is a fine lace, but lace sustainable. French lace is a great choice if you plan to use a plug underneath the wig or generally reapply frequently.
Swiss Lace:
Swiss lace is an excellent choice is not to put on a wig with the wig and prefers to be even undetectable.
Stretch Lace:
A lace wig with stretch in the middle is using the measure to guess away from your head. Most people can be classified as having an average size drop. However, many who do not know if they are a small, medium or large size get between the lids with an elastic fabric in the center of the lace wigs.
The elastic material will expand the size of the wig head and, in some ways it can help ensure the holding of the wig, through facial expressions and head movements.
Without Stretch Lace:
A lace wig without stretching in the middle is a preference for some and a requirement for others. Obtaining a wig without risking journey can be if one ignores the size of your head, but can also be a little more comfortable and less of the elastic material.
Thin lace perimeter of the skin:
A lace wig with a perimeter of thin skin is a very thin layer of plastic that can be placed at the front, back or in the perimeter of the lace wigs.
Many prefer it because it provides a more solid anchoring of moisture through sweat and water.
Choosing a type of combinations of lace depends on individual preference. Both are equal in quality, but it is a little bit thinner than the other.
