Budget Cuts

The New York Times has recently reported the loss of almost billion in Obama administration. The government is of course trying its best to gain the trust of the people due to the ailing economy that they have been trying to live up to for the past few years.
Budget Cuts
Despite plans for budget cuts in the expenditures of the federal, the states and the government, experts still foresee great economic problems in the coming months. Due to this, these experts are a little doubtful as to how the government will act on this and how many more financial and budget cuts can the government afford.
Though most experts are cynical about the growth of the economy, some financial analysts believe that with the signs showing the growth of the economy, things will come for the better. They have based their positivity on the economys vital standing which are going up the chart, the expansion of factory production and the fact that more people are buying more cars these days compared to the previous years when they would not care about having the old model. They have also insisted that because of these changes, there is more possibility for the government to spend less which means that it would also need to borrow less from international investors and other companies from the United States can borrow more from the government since they can now start collecting higher taxes. The International Monetary Fund on the other hand is getting worried because these countries and companies are depending too much on money borrowed than doing something to develop and make their respective communities better. They believe that it is better to stand on your own two feet rather than entrust your success to others.
Dan Pena, CEO and president of the Guthrie Groups also believes in this kind of philosophy. He has stated that there is no one else you can actually depend on but yourself and that you should surround yourself with good and inspiring people to help you succeed in life. He has always wanted to help others become as successful as he as that he provided instruction materials through his audio and video files that can be found in his official website http://www.danpena.com. He came up with the Quantum Leap Advantage methodology that would help new business entrepreneurs familiar with what they have chosen to get into and that time would come when there would be no more budget cuts for them.

Personal Finance Budgeting – Importance Of A Personal Budget

Unless people make a personal budget for themselves they will never be successful in their journey towards financial freedom. A budget is like the training wheels on a bike and works as a finance tool that helps keep people on the right path. For most it is necessary to keep a personal budget for their entire life but for others a budget is not needed after they get a feel for how their money is being spent and where it is going. Setting up a budget is the simplest and most basic building block in a persons quest for financial freedom. I can almost guarantee that you will not be successful on your journey toward financial peace without setting up your own budget.

Usually when people hear the dreaded B word (budget) they often run for the hills and they often try to avoid a financial adviser that suggests that they make a budget. People are often very scared of the work involved in making a personal budget but I am here to tell you that it is not really that bad. Resistance in establishing a budget often happens because people see a budget as some type of trap that restricts their freedom and forces them to change the way they live. The truth about budgeting is often quite the opposite. Usually those that do not set up a budget are the ones that have a ton of credit card debt and are restricted by the large debt payments they are required to make each month.

When you setup a personal budget you are simply setting up a plan to spend your money with intent as opposed to spending it aimlessly. The idea is to plan everything out so that you do not end up spending more money than you make. A personal budget usually seems restrictive at first but once you follow it for a few months it will help you to move away from your reliance on credit cards and it will actually give you more freedom.

Once you establish your budget you should expect it to take 3-5 months to get things right. In the beginning it is likely that you will make mistakes in your budget and forget about expenses. After 3-5 months you should be able to work through this and your budget should be almost a mirror image of your actual spending.

After establishing an accurate budget the next step is to stick to the plan. Most people tend to fail here. Anybody can write out a budget plan but the hard part is actually sticking to this budget each and every month. If you can stick to your budget I promise that you will be more financially free.

I hope that you now understand the importance of establishing a personal budget for yourself. Without it you cannot begin to pay off your debts and save money because you have no way to track and properly allocate your income.

My suggestion is that you do yourself a favor and grab a note pad and a pen and start working on your own personal budget. It is simple and completely freedom.

Learning Ways To Build Better Budgets

Ways to build better budgets refer to the methods developed by the financial experts to make the budget as error free as possible. In other words, these help us in understanding the ideal process of budget making. There are several small processes those when combined make the perfect budgeting process. These include effective tools for budgeting, automation, strategic planning, dedicated resources and teamwork.

Connecting Budgeting and Strategic Planning;
Ways to build better budgets include linking the process of budgeting with the strategic planning. Strategic planning is the process of setting the destination of company, and like any other journey, here also you need an efficient vehicle to reach that destination. Better budgeting helps you exactly this way in achieving your goal by playing the role of vehicle.

Distribution of the Responsibilities;
In the process of finding ways to build better budgets some companies have come up with the idea of developing, the strategic service centers and conferred the responsibility of making better budgets on them. Companies have asked every service center to make the budget and accounts. A detailed report is sent to each center to tell them regarding the charges to those accounts. Results of this technique are very good because budgeting process has involved more peoples than before that too from the lower level of staff. Future projections have become more realistic in this process because of greater control and greater accountability of the people there at strategic service centers. According to one expert there are several advantages of this approach and is being appreciated widely. It not only helps in better profitability, but also better decision making. In the absence of this approach, getting input would have been very difficult.

According to some experts, promoting the internal cooperation is also among the proven ways to build better budgets. It is general tendency among people that they dislike the budgeting process. However, it is possible to gain some speed by making small pieces of overall process and thereby making somewhat understandable and interesting to the people. Providing information openly to the every person in the company produces better results. If they have access to the information regarding expenses, labor cots, revenue and the numbers you will observe significant improvement in their performances.

Make It Paperless and Automatic;
People avoid budgeting because they feel it as a time taking process that requires much of the paperwork. If you can make the overall process of budgeting automatic and paperless, it may also be one of the ways to build better budgets.

To Get Rid Of Debt By Financial Budgeting

One will find positively at least one credit card in American household. These days carrying debt has almost become inevitable and in many households, is necessary. Most of the cases sound financial budget is forgotten. In between credit cards, mortgages, carloans, retirement funds, many of the Americans have no time to even ponder what to do next. The ever-growing debt consumes the largest chunk of their incoming resources. All said and done, a sound financial budget can be daunting for every person who is burdened with debt but not at all impossible.

The very first thing is to know how much debt is there with a person and how much is too much for him. Generally speaking, if more than 20% of the take home pay is going towards non-housing debt and rent or mortgage exceeds 30% of take home pay, then the person is overextended. In such case one must immediately take recourse to financial budgeting.

There are number of steps one can follow to establish a sound financial budget and eliminate debt. One need to adjust his spending habits to work out of debt trap and establish a sound financial budget.

The first key to establishing a financial budget is to find out where your money is spent . This will allow identification of debt load, and may help to free up some cash towards the debt. Next thing to do is to track the expenses for 30 days by writing down what is spent . The ATM slips to be kept and written over it the expenses incurred till the cash is exhausted. Credit card slips to be kept and added to the total expenses. Fixed expenses like housing , groceries, electricals, water, cable and phone bills to be added . The next come the non-essentials like entertainments, restaurant bites, clothing’s, and things of that nature. Analyse the expenses where one can reduce the spending. One may cut some phone bills. Why not carry lunch to work spot to avoid outside food bills. Why not make coffee or tea in home and carry the same in a thermos to work. Adjust the thermostat seasonally to reduce electricity and heating costs. The objective is to reduce current spending so as not to add to the debt. All these could be a decent sum in freeing the debt slowly but steadily. That is how the foundation of a financial budget is laid

Once you have taken the initial step to lay down your financial budget , the next step is to attack the existing debts with the following steps:

o The high rate cards are paid off .

o To transfer the high rate debts to a lower rated card.

o If at all anything is borrowed , it should be for long term and financial things that gain in value like a house, education or home appliances that is supposed to last

long and will be around when the debt is paid off fully.

If these steps are followed , one can create a sound financial budget and decrease the debt. The key to financial budget is analyse spending , controlling expenses, establish a plan and follow it, and lastly reduce the debt load duly .

Financial Planning (Organizing your Budget)

A few years back a friend of mine accidentally saw one of my paychecks, he was shocked to see that he was earning more than me. He also noted the fact that his wife worked and mine did not. This particular friend had approach me a couple of times in need of a loan to get him through until his payday. Because I had been able to help him he had always assumed that I made more than he made. Once he realized that the situation was reversed he asked me how could we possibly being doing as well as we were.

I then asked him what type of budget he and his wife use for their household finances. He replied that they did not have a planned budget for the household bills. Well, I was surprised because this friend always seem to be very organized. I asked him how he thought he could manage his money without a budget. I explained that a budget is the cornerstone of knowing where you stand financially. I mentioned a phrase that I heard from my Dad years earlier…If you fail to plan, then you should plan to fail. I think he was a little offended and a little embarrassed, but he did see my point.

I told that for many years my household had operated on a budget and yes at first it was not easy. Starting a budget is the hardest part, the adjustment to being responsible to show where each dollar goes is not pleasant for most people. The longer you do it the easier it becomes because you start to take pride in sticking to your budget and you begin to see the fruits of your labor. I asked him to try by starting on the following plan, which is the same one I used when I started out. I told him to use it for 6 months and then we would see if it worked.

The plan is simple: Your money needs to be divided by percentage for uses. 33% for housing, 17% for transportation, 25% for monthly bills, 10% for donations, and 15% for savings and investing. I asked him to list all of their misc. spending and notice if any money was being wasted. The savings account is also utilized for emergency needs such as home or car repairs.
Right from the start my friend said that 25% would not cover his monthly bills. I told him that he would need to use the portion designated for savings and pay off the credit cards. It turned out that they were maxed out on several cards and that was the main drawdown on their income. At the end of 6 months I met with him and he said they had paid off three of the cards and had listed their monthly misc. expenses. With that list they had realized that they were spending about $250.00 per month on things that were not neccessary. That combined with the savings on credit card payments had allowed them to put $1,000.00 in savings. They will soon have all their credit cards paid off and will be able to place more money in the savings column.

This budget is a very simple example, the actual budget for each family requires a little fine tuning to match the current situation of each household. More advanced examples will be soon posted at Wongaa.com.
