Humans can be so irrational. Have you ever met someone and decided – before you even knew anything about them – that you didn’t like them? Or a food… you’ve never tasted it, but you KNOW that you don’t like it. Maybe a certain place. You’ve never been there, but you’re completely positive that it’s not worth going to.
Exactly why we make decisions like that is hard to explain. But we all do it.
Maybe part of the reason why we do it is because we like simplicity. No matter how complex we get as human beings, at a fundamental level, we all still love simplicity. We like having things clearly laid out for us. We don’t like having to think too much. As a result, we often make wrong assumptions – normally when the information given to us is too complicated or unclear. So rather than dredging through the information to find the truth, we just make assumptions. Unfortunately, the assumptions are often false. Or at least, not entirely true.
This is a very clear pattern in consumers – which, of course, we all are. You can probably think of several times when you decided that you didn’t like a product… a brand… a store… without even giving it a chance. Maybe you heard a third-hand rumor about poor customer service. Or maybe that the company buys from vendors that possibly have questionable business ethics. Or maybe you had a slightly unfavorable experience at one store once, and now you avoid the whole chain. But again, a full investigation to find the truth is just too much work. So instead, you just decide you don’t like the company.
This is what marketers call positioning.
You’ve undoubtedly heard that term before. It’s a pretty common one. But actually, most people don’t have a complete understanding of what positioning really is. Positioning, they think, is limited to what the marketer says. The marketer says that Avis tries harder because they’re Number Two – and that’s where positioning ends. Truth is, that’s just a marketer trying to position his product. TRYING to get his prospects to think a certain way about his product. You see, positioning doesn’t happen in the marketing department or at the advertising agency. It happens in prospects’ minds.
This is crucial. Marketers can keep pounding away, “positioning” their products forever. But it’s all for naught if the prospects don’t accept that mental position as true.
Succeeding when it comes to positioning starts by realizing that you are not in control of positioning. You do not create positioning. You can only try to INFLUENCE positioning. The next important step is to figure out your current position. No, not how YOU think of your company – mission statements have nothing to do with it. You need to figure out how your customers, clients, and prospects think of your company. How THEY mentally position you.
Influencing that position is simply moving it from Point A (the current position) to Point B (the desired position). But the only way to do that is to find out exactly where Point A is. And that’s one of marketing’s biggest challenges.

What exactly does independence mean? Do you have to be free from one’s clutches to be independent? Or is it simply the benefit of having total freedom? Anyway, I will soon be celebrating my tenth year of being independent.
For me, the feeling of independence comes with a heavy price to pay though. The moment I stepped into the university, I had all the freedom I’ve always dreamt about. A large part of this independence is financial independent.
This meant that I had to manage my financial woes myself. The moment I gained independence was also the moment I had to carry all my financial burdens myself. Well, thankfully this burden was eased with my education loan.
The main aspect of independence is actually the responsibility which comes with having to make decisions in the process. Upon independence, there is no longer a grasp, a higher authority to govern what is right and what is wrong.
It all comes down to your own judgment.
Thus, with freedom and great power comes an even greater responsibility. With the coming of age, such independence is expected to be taken in maturely. Who’s there to stop you from going crazy and wild?
Thus, whether or not we treasure what is given to us is one question to ponder upon. We often take things for granted when the object we’ve craved for a very long time is awarded to us with no strings attached. I’m very grateful for my very freedom and independence. Happy Independence Day.

Best forex indicators – you can trade the foreign exchange using many different timeframes. Some of the most popular ones are the 1 minute, 5 minute, 15 minute, 1 hour, 4 hour, 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month charts. So many choices can really confuse the novice trader, so in this article, we will talk about which one is right for you.
The one you choose will largely depend on your personality and trading goals. If you want to be in and out of trades quickly, then you might use a 1 or 5 minute chart. If you want more time to analyze your trades, then you will use a 1 hour or higher.
Also your experience will be a factor when choosing. Generally the smaller the time sample, the harder it is to trade. For one reason, you have to make quick decisions on quick charts, and quick decisions for beginners usually end in losses. Secondly, patterns that develop on smaller charts are less reliable because they reflect only a small sample of time. Chart patterns using higher time samples are generally more reliable.
One more point – you will probably use a combination of timeframes when you trade. These different market perspectives will be one of the best forex indicators you ever use. You might look for a good trade on a larger timeframe and then drop down to a smaller one to identify the exact entry and exit points. But it is best to choose 1 and use it the majority of the time.
So which timeframe should you choose?
If you are a beginner, you should use the 15 minute or higher. Anything less is too quick. You first need to recognize patterns, learn the market, and become very familiar with your trading station before you focus on trading often.
Most people suggest that novices start on the 1 hour chart. You won’t get a lot of trade opportunities on the 1 hour, but you don’t have to take a lot of trades to make money. I repeat – you do not have to take a lot of trades to make money. Many traders get the feeling that if they are not actively trading then they are wasting their time. Usually traders that over-trade waste more than just their time – they waste their money.
So try different timeframes and see which one works best for you. The right one for you will be one of the best forex indicators you can have.

The title of this article is quite self-explanatory. People are always wanting to know where they can buy a good quality, but cheap pair of glasses. The answer is simple, you need to search online. There are many reasons to shop online. Even besides the price you find a greater choice online, you can shop in the comfort of your home and the glasses are sent right to your door. If you want to find out more about why shopping online will make sure you end up with the glasses you want, then read on.
First let’s discuss the cheap prices of glasses found online, as this is what the article is all about after all! Online stores have fewer overheads than high street shops. They don’t have display casing to buy, high rents to pay for and they don’t carry the same level of financial risk that high street shops too. All these benefits mean you the customer can reap the rewards with lower prices and greater discounts available. In particular designer glasses and sunglasses often carry very high price tags when found on the high street. The prices are considerably lower however online. One quick search will provide you with this same conclusion. Often delivery is offered free if a large order is placed too. The glasses are sent straight to your door so there is no time consuming shopping trip necessary either. Getting time off work so you can buy some new glasses can be a problem and not always possible.
When shopping online you can take all the time you want to make sure you come away with exactly the right item. Time restraints and the need for the shop assistants to help other customers in a shop mean that hurried decisions are often made when shopping on the high street. When it comes to glasses, you need to make sure you get it right because they are an important fashion accessory! You don’t need to worry if it is prescription lenses you need either. Buying these online is simple and all you need is a copy of the prescription from the optician. The optician is legally obliged to provide a copy of your eye test anyway – so all you need to do is ask if you don’t have a copy. Make sure the writing is clear to read too. You don’t have to buy your prescription glasses from the place where the eye test was carried out, you can buy them anywhere.
When shopping for glasses, you will want to find a retailer with a good range available and a professional looking website. If you have any doubts at all about buying online then you can phone them up, or email them with questions you want answered. Purchasing from a specialist online retailer of glasses and sunglasses will mean you have access to knowledgeable staff who will be able to advise you on the right type of glasses or sunglasses for your needs.
Do be careful when buying a very cheap pair of glasses or sunglasses though. You need to have confidence in the quality of the lenses so as not to do damage to your eyes. Sunglasses in particular, need to have lenses fitted that protect against both UVA and UVB rays, and reading glasses should have appropriate lenses for your individual eyes. You shouldn’t self-prescribe glasses.
If you are looking for cheap glasses then you should go online straight away. Without a doubt the prices are more reasonable in virtual stores than they are on the high street. With a great range available too and delivery right to your door, there are plenty of reasons to shop online. If it is women’s glasses, children’s sunglasses or even the latest range of mens police sunglasses you are looking for, you’ll find a wide selection of cheap designer glasses, by going online today.

Budgets Don’t Work
I don’t believe budgets work for the long run. We have our unique and different ways of doing budgets. Some of us allocate certain amounts for each expense category. Some go by envelop ideas such as putting money in different envelops for different expense categories, and spend money from these envelops based on circumstances. The problem with budgeting is that we usually stick to it for a couple of months and then get bored and get rid of it. Although I don’t believe in budgeting, I do believe in tracking expenses. Why and how you should track your expenses? Let’s talk about it.
Track Your Expenses
Tracking expenses gives you a visualization of where your money is exactly going. You need to know this to cut unnecessary expenses and increase your savings. You can do all sorts of calculations and thinking in your mind to figure out where your money is going – but the real picture may not be the same as your mind tries to depict. Don’t be surprised if you see a very different picture than what you had in your mind. Spending just a few dollars here and there daily can add up to a large amount at month’s end and tracking expenses will show you how powerful it can be to cut once-daily visit to your coffee shop. Tracking expenses will gradually help you make better decisions.
How long should you track your expenses?
How long should you track your expenses? It all depends. You can do it for three months, one year or for good. If you are looking to take immediate action on cutting unnecessary expenses, three months of tracking will give you a fair idea. If you want an in-depth financial picture, I would recommend tracking for four to six months. If you want to keep track of your changing patterns of spending behaviour and make adjustments accordingly to meet your financial goals, I would recommend tracking your expenses on a continuous basis.
Personal Finance Software
Now, here comes the main question – What financial software you should use to track your expenses? Personal finance software programs like Quicken and Microsoft Money are able to keep track of your spending. However, I recommend a simple and easy to use web-based program called Expensr. Expensr keeps track of your income and expenses and tells you where your money goes. It is very simple to use and let me describe some basics you need to know.
Sign up for a free account. On the main page, on the top left, you will see five tabs. These tabs are Home, Accounts, Analysis, Budget and Community. Accounts and Analysis tabs are the ones you will be using most. Enter all your income and spending daily under Account tab. You can create multiple categories to categorize you entries. Entering an item is easy, and you should be able to do it in a snap. Analysis tab shows how much you are spending in each category. You can view this either in a pie chart or in a bar graph. Charts or graphs show spending trends. Trends can be used to see how your spending behaviour has changed over time, and you make adjustments accordingly.
Expensr has many other features. I mainly use it to keep track of my spending and income, and to plot graphs to visualize my trends. If you are looking for simple, easy-to-use but powerful personal finance software, expensr is your answer.
NB – Expensr is now Moneystrands. Read my Personal Finance Software Review to find out more about financial software.
