Pre-Loved Diamond Rings

Whether seeking out a sublime ring for a fairytale wedding or simply a financial investment intended to yield a profit, diamond rings continue to be one of the most sought after and revered commodities in the world today. Shrewd traders and businesspeople have used the diamond for generations as a source of untold wealth and profitability when utilized correctly. Market fluctuations have seen the price of diamonds plummet to unseen lows along with climbing to quite ridiculous highs, enabling those with their finger on the pulse of the industry to make almost unlimited profit by buying and selling at the right time.

Of course, diamonds for most of us exist as an adornment to display proudly at every possible opportunity. Scarce availability once resulted in diamonds existing with the highest exclusivity, simply in another world to that in reach of the average person.

Thankfully, the desire of those in the business to flood the market with as many diamonds as possible on order to make their fortune has resulted in affordable stones appearing across the board, finally within reach of the less-than wealthy.

The abundance of items available to the public along with their relative affordability has seen an endless number of examples, diamond rings in particular, appear in second-hand retailers across the world. Numerous reasons can spur a resale, such as seeking an upgrade, cashing in on market values or the unfortunate but very real presence of divorce. Whatever the reason, savvy buyers and investors across the world are reaping the benefits of the situation and obtaining goods which are often worth far more than their asking price.

Furthermore, diamond rings and other examples of fine jewelry are generally treated with a level of care and reverence few other possessions are privileged to, which results in used items appearing in flawless condition as if never worn. The second-hand status certainly lowers the value of the items, though the quality and condition would certainly suggest otherwise. As such, a small investment of time and attention can afford a buyer the potential to secure an item which is theoretically way beyond their means, with no other party ever becoming wise to the second-hand purchase.

Of course, anyone considering of opting for the second-hand option would do well to seek expert advice or seller backgrounds before committing to any purchase. While the majority of established second-hand retailers are perfectly honest and reputable, there exists a strong presence of unscrupulous dealers who will simply do anything to make a profit, including misleading buyers. For example, diamond rings with an original four-figure price tag selling for a hundred or so should trigger alarm bells in a sensible buyer. Bargains abound in the second-hand industry but the permanent value of gemstones and precious metal mean that a certain level of value is permanently preserved and there is no such thing as a cheap diamond. Generally speaking, if you come across an item which seems too good to be true, it most likely is.

Low Cost Diabetic Supplies Including Low Cost Test Strips

Are you a diabetic and have no health insurance? I pity you since the average person with diabetes spends somewhere in the neighborhood of ,000 a year on health costs. Compare this with the ,500 a person without the disease spends and you can see why we are between a rock and a hard place with out health insurance. Obviously finding low cost diabetic supplies is mandatory for us.

I was personally turned down for health insurance coverage because I was considered “pre-diabetic” because it runs in my family. Every once in a while I will check my blood sugar with my wife’s glucose monitor and I have always been in a good range. I wonder how many others are stuck with no insurance or inadequate insurance to cover the high cost of their diabetes supplies. There must countless thousands in the same boat as I am. If I ever do come down with diabetes my insurance will not cover it.

I mentioned that I used my wife’s monitor, she does have diabetes and needs to check her glucose levels daily and as you may well know sometimes three or four times a day.

The Glucose monitors last for a long time but finding low cost test strips can be a chore especially when you go through better than 50 a month. We have found that it is best to stay stocked up on them so that we do not have to run out to the pharmacy to grab a high cost bottle of test strips. Finding medical supplies that are in the affordable range can be very difficult and I have found that there are many folks who just figure that they are stuck paying the high costs.

Understanding Body Mass Index

Though doctors spout it and researchers write it all the time, patients have a hard time figuring out what BMI means. Even spelling it out doesn’t mean much to the average person: Body Mass Index. Most know it has something to do with their weight. But can’t a scale just tell us that answer?

For the average person, keeping track of his/her weight is far more important than trying to calculate a vague- sounding BMI. But this is popping up across the world, and being linked to disease risk more and more. And, just for the sake of its popularity, in spite of its limitations, it’s important to know one’s BMI.

So let’s get down to what this thing is all about, once and for all. BMI is a calculation of your weight (in kilograms) divided by your height (in meters squared).

Since the U.S. still uses the imperial system, it’s easiest to figure out your BMI on a slew of online sources. Just type “BMI” in Google and see what happens. Find a BMI calculator such as the one on the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute’s
web site that allows you to enter your weight and height in pounds and feet, which you are most certainly used to. It will automatically switch the values to metric.

While BMI shouldn’t be considered the absolute word on your risk of disease due to your weight, it is one of three important cogs: the other two are your waist size and the percentage of body fat you are carrying. Two decades ago, officials started using the BMI system to track individuals who were at risk of major problems ranging from high blood pressure and diabetes to stroke and cancer.

In 1998, the National Institutes of Health issued obesity guidelines based on BMI scores: “normal” was between 18.5 and 24.9, while “overweight” was 25 to 29.9 and “obese” was 30 and higher.

This had many experts puzzled because body fat and muscle mass are not distinguished. (For example, a bodybuilder could be over 30 and be technically obese.)

In truth, there are several other oddities about the BMI, including low numbers being deceptive and the fact that a high number doesn’t automatically mean you are facing a slew of risk factors. (Because, for instance, exercise is an important variable.) BMI isn’t the best way to assess body fat and its relative risk to your health, but it remains a surprisingly accepted way to gauge one’s health. Why? Because it’s extremely cheap and simple to calculate.

Just don’t think that it’s the be- all and end-all to calculating your weight in relation to your health.

Hair loss

Generally, we lose about 100 hairs everyday. The normal hair growth cycle has three phases. All phases of the cycle are equally important. If there is some problem, even in any one of the phases, it could be a reason for hair loss. Around 90% hair on an average person’s scalp is in the growing stage and the rest is resting. The resting phase lasts for around 3-4 years after which this hair is replaced by new hair.

This is how normal hair loss works.

Shedding some hair everyday is normal but beyond this it is hair loss. Fear of hair loss makes men and women take extra care of their existing hair. This increases the use of shampoos and other hair care products. These hair care products contain harmful chemicals, which work negatively on the hair follicles and make them weaker. So instead of helping their hair, they start harming it. Even if you hair follicles are healthy, use of strong and harmful chemicals weakens them and causes hair loss. If you don’t have a problem, don’t fix it.

How this normally takes place is an individual or company will get an email from a supposed official who is representing the family of a foreign government or company. The correspondence makes an offer to transfer millions of dollars into your bank account to move money out of their own country. There is usually some long back story explaining why they cant directly access their money at this time. In exchange for letting them use your bank account they will let you keep a portion of the money, usually several million dollars. You will be provided copies of official looking documents, be asked to provide some documents of your won, perhaps even travel overseas. As it is getting close to the time to collect your millions some difficulty will arise such as the need to pay a bank fee, taxes or some type of costs for getting the money released and you will be asked to pay those fees with the promise of getting reimbursed in addition to your millions you are about to received. This will basically go on until the victim stops paying for these unexpected costs.

Some websites have been started to scam the scammers by corresponding with person originating the Nigerian scams. While have no intent of every sending any money and knowing they will never received millions. Instead they try to tie up the time and money of those who are perpetrating the scam. One should take great care in protecting themselves and we dont recommend the average person do something along these lines. Instead you should simply delete the emails you receive for these Nigerian scams.

Why are Nigerian scams so more prevalent in originating from Nigeria as opposed to other countries? There are several reasons that contribute to the problem. One is that there is very high unemployment in the country. Compared to other African countries Nigerians are also better educated and have a better understanding of the English language. Another problem is that the government of Nigeria has become less helpful in fighting the crime. In recent years the government stance has shifted to blaming the victims for their greed.
